Summer Camps

Our Spanish-language, two-generation Summer Camp programs started during the pandemic to engage families in critical early literacy experiences and to satisfy the need to bring parents with young children together to connect and learn in a healthy outdoor environment. Last year, we added camps in El Jebel and Parachute while continuing with our camps in Rifle and Glenwood Springs. The summer camps run for three weeks each summer in late June. Each program comprises a two-hour session for two days each week so that our bilingual program coordinators can rotate amongst the communities to provide this camp. In parks, parents and their children engage with storytime, preschool activities, songs, and outdoor games. We partner with the local public library and FocusedKids during each camp.
