Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family’s income. Dolly Parton’s vision was to foster a love of reading among her county’s preschool children and their families. The first book order in 1995 totaled just over 1,700. Today, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library sends more than one million books per month to children worldwide, inspiring them to Dream More, Learn More, Care More and Be More.
Raising a Reader Aspern to Parachute and the Garfield County Libraries collaborate to provide this very important program so that all children aged 0-5 in Garfield County receive these engaging books each month through the Imagination Library program. The partnership promotes family reading and fosters early literacy skills for children ages 0-5.
