The Raising A Reader team collaborates with libraries, preschool and kindergarten teachers, and parents during our Blue Bag Library events. Every 4-5-year-old child participates in this yearly event. During the event, children are given the gift of a blue library book bag filled with storybooks, library information, and reading tips for parents. Most children are also issued their first library card for future library book check-out.
We partner with all of the public libraries from Aspen to Parachute to host these field-trip type events every year in the spring. For more information about these events contact suzanne@rar4kids.org.
